Elevation Lab is leveraging the power of Kickstarter to gauge demand for their new iPhone dock, the Elevation Dock, and based on the numbers, ($632,602 pleged of their $75,000 goal with 26 days left as of writing), this is definitely a dock that the people have wanted or needed in their life for quite some time.  Color me surprised, but the selling point makes sense.  Machined from solid aluminum, with a “low friction” connector, and a grippy rubber bottom, it’s designed to stay put when you dock and un-dock your iPhone during your daily routine.

It’s up to you if it’s worth $59 (during the Kickstarter funding spree, $90 MSRP) for the holy grail of one-handed undocking, which sounds dirtier than it probably is.  Also available is the expanded-feature dock for $120 MSRP, which throws in a USB power adapter and line-out capabilities.

Or, you could live like the rest of us dregs and get a cheapo Kesnington K39257US at Amazon.com for a mere $12, and us that extra scratch to feed starving children or a kitten or something.
